MG announces two new generation battery electric vehicles which will enter the European market later this year. The new and exciting MG Marvel R Electric – a high-tech, luxurious ‘lifestyle’ SUV for the C-segment – and the new MG5 Electric: world’s first 100% electric station wagon. Both BEVs are progressive, powerful and above all, attractive. While the existing MG ZS EV and MG EHS Plug-in Hybrid already impress in terms of smart pricing, functionality, standard equipment and efficiency, these new MG models raise the bar even further in terms of design and appeal.

Such as an attractive range, fast charging capability, advanced safety features and smart pricing. In addition, they are particularly modern and attractively designed.”

Evolved Design

This second-generation EV is designed according to MG’s Evolution Design language. The Marvel R Electric is characterized as an intelligent ‘Tech Style’ vehicle with modern and powerful elements as it’s communicating and interacting with its users. The design offers attractive proportions and minimalistic designed features that enhance the appearance of a sophisticated modern and evolved vehicle.

The luxurious high-tech lifestyle C-segment SUV is 4,674 mm long, 1,919 mm wide and 1,618 mm tall. The wheelbase measures 2,800 mm and offers therefore more than enough interior space. In addition to its attractive stance, the MG Marvel R Electric also offers a spacious and stunning interior with a 19.4 inch touchscreen and a 12.3 inch digital instrument panel.

For a new generation

The MG Marvel R Electric is a battery-electric SUV for a new generation of European motorists who highly appreciate design, luxury and performance, but also a comfortable range and fast charging capability for a smart and reasonable price.

With a range of over 400 kilometres (WLTP), the Marvel R Electric offers a great peace of mind, while drivers can count on quick charging capability at a public charging point (AC) due to the 11 kW on-board 3-phase charger. The battery is also suitable for fast-charging (DC) to fill it up to 80% in just 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the climate control with an internal heat pump guarantees optimal charging performance at low temperatures.

Another striking feature of the MG Marvel R Electric is the V2L system (vehicle-to-load). This technology allows the lithium-ion battery to supply energy to an external electrical system, for example an air pump, electric scooter, a laptop or even another BEV. This technology is considered as an important innovation for the clean energy transition and last-mile solution.

Powerful Tri-Motor drive technology

The MG Marvel R Electric not only exudes power, but also lives up to it with its performance. The drive technology uses an advanced all-wheel drive system with three electric motors: one on the front axle and two on the rear.

The vehicle boasts a maximum output of 212 kW (288 ps) with a 665 Nm peak torque. This allows the SUV to accelerate from 0-50 km/h in just 1.8 seconds and from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. The top speed is limited at 200 km/h. The Marvel R Electric will also be offered in a rear-wheel drive configuration with two electric motors.

Usability

The maximum towing weight of the MG Marvel R Electric is 750 kg. The car is suitable for towing a trailer or caravan. Or two e-bikes on a special bicycle carrier for example.

The luggage compartment in the rear offers a volume of 357 litres. With the rear seat folded down, it can be increased to 1,396 litres. The RWD version of the Marvel R Electric also offers 150 litres of luggage space under the hood, also known as a frunk.Furthermore, customers can count on a large number of active safety systems under the name MG Pilot, as with the MG ZS EV and MG EHS Plug-in Hybrid.

Market launch

The European market launch of the new MG Marvel R Electric is scheduled for May this year. More details will be announced in the run-up to the sales start.

Tra aprile e maggio si avranno altre notizie, comunque hanno parlato di VW ID.4 come competitor quindi immagino un range tra i 40.000€ e i 50.000€ a seconda dell'allestimento

Oltre che competitor direi anche copy per la fiancata, sembra presa pari pari da ID4 e Q5

il risultato è a parer mio così così, non è brutta, forse noiosa è la parola che userei.

      Aveva già debuttato in Cina con il suo rose gold, ma adesso Porsche ha deciso di renderla disponibile anche in altri mercati: trattasi della variante di accesso Taycan, a trazione posteriore e con due pacchetti batteria a scelta.
      Lo standard Performance Battery garantisce una potenza di 408 cv, l'opzionale Performance Battery Plus ne garantisce 476.

      A distanza di 6 mesi dalla presentazione del pre-serie, Toyota rilascia le prime informazioni circa il suo primissimo crossover full-electric basato sulla piattaforma nuova e dedicata E-TNGA.
      La versione a trazione anteriore è dotata di un motore elettrico da 150 kW e 204 cv e 265 Nm; la variante a trazione integrale (curata da Subaru) ha invece due motori capaci di 217 cv totali  e 336 Nm di coppia. Ambedue le varianti mantengono un uguale pacco batterie da 71.4 kWh.
      Non dilungandosi troppo nei dati, affermano che la batteria garantisce una percorrenza di 450 km WLTP a piena carica, peraltro effettuabile all'80% con una carica rapida da 150 kW in circa 30 minuti.
      La trazione integrale ha due modalità XMODE, attivo sino a 20 km/h ed efficace su strade innevate o fangose, e Grip Control fino a 10 km/h per strade con condizioni più impervie.
      Confermato anche il volante a cloche steer-by-wire, chiamato One Motion Grip Control.
      Avremo maggiori dati il 2 Dicembre quando verrà presentata la variante destinata al mercato europeo con specifiche ad hoc.
