The third Suzuki concept model to be revealed at the upcoming 2011 Tokyo Motor Show at the end of the month after the Regina city car and the tiny Q-Concept is the Swift EV Hybrid.

Based on the latest generation of the Swift supermini, the EV Hybrid concept makes use of a similar powertrain setup featuring a range-extender gasoline engine to the Chevrolet Volt.

The Japanese brand says that the five-door Swift EV Hybrid can travel a distance of around 30 kilometers (~19 miles) in pure-electric mode, before the petrol engine kicks in to recharge the car's batteries.

Suzuki has not yet released any more details on the powertrain.
