The German Alfa Press release from January which looked back at 2024 already mentioned the Stelvio premiere as the closure of 2025. So no change since then at least. But all the American STLA Large models (Charger, Wagoneer S, Recon) got postponed for a few months and it's important that STLA Brain really works when Alfa introduces this break through.

 

I just don't understand why they can't offer Stelvio and Giulia without a gap. Don't they have two lines in Cassino? Can't the Alfas and the Grecale run on the same? Maybe sales are simply too low for the effort.

Plus, Fiorio hinted that it’s technically possible to drop Alfa’s 2.9-litre V6 into the STLA Large architecture that’ll sit under the new Stelvio (above) and Giulia. ‘The platform was developed to be a multi energy. So, there is zero problem to adapting the platform to any kind of engine. It was developed to not to stick only with electrification. There is no problem at all.’

 

Questo Fiorio sembrerebbe essere il responsabile Marketing Alfa Romeo. 

 

Mi sembra un' intervista strana perché dice: "I don't see a Quadrifoglio EV", quando almeno fino a poco tempo fa era l'unica Quadrifoglio prevista.

Poi dice che:

"I see a Quadrifoglio which has the sound of a real engine.", che potrebbe benissimo intendere una EV con Sound Generator. 

Imparato aveva detto lo scorso anno che il 2.9 V6 è omologabile Euro7, poi che vada su New Giulia/Stelvio è da vedere (secondo me avrebbe più  senso il più potente 3.0 Hurricane). 

 

Possono scegliere tra il 2.9 V6, 3.0 Nettuno e 3.0 Hurricane.

Il 3.0 hurricane non ha niente a che vedere dal punto di vista prestazione con i v6 alfa e Maserati però

Ptesumo intenda che non vede di buon occhio una QV elettrica anche perché essendo lui del marketing sa bene pure lui che non sarebbe così facile da pubblicizzare qualcosa del genere.

Sul 3.0 Hurricane ci sono tante voci ma secondo me sarebbe alquanto una forzatura, per quanto sia un ottimo motore sarebbe un elemento estraneo, peggio del 3.2 jts, per quanto bistrattato almeno su quello ad Arese ci avevano messo pesantemente mano.

 

Forse la migliore delle soluzioni sarebbe il 3.0 di Grecale, con le tecnologie del Nettuno ma meno sofisticato di quello di MC20.

Ma questa è fantagamma.

Vedremo, ad oggi sembra previsto solo il 2.0, immagino in vari step di potenza e magari anche con diverse tecnologie (MHEV, PHEV), almeno me lo auguro visto che difficilmente ci sarà diesel.
