S90 si fa sempre più concreta con un debutto paventato a gennaio al salone di Detroit

[h=2]Will likely spawn a V90 wagon[/h]The next generation flagship sedan from Volvo will reportedly be revealed during the 2016 Detroit Motor Show.

IndianAutosBlog is reporting the S90 will make its world premiere in the beginning of next year in Detroit. Quoting sources close to the Swedish brand, the site says Volvo will start teasing the new model at the end of this year.

Expected to be “an all new product, based on the same platform as in the XC90”, the S90 will replace the aging S80 and will likely spawn a V90 wagon model. The design will be heavily influenced by the Concept Universe.

In terms of engines, the car will feature most of the engines available in the XC90 with the range-topping version being the T8 Twin Engine that includes a four-cylinder 2.0-liter supercharged and turbocharged gasoline engine and a rear-mounted electric motor.
