Toyota has quietly unveiled the 2013 Mark X facelift for Japan.

Distinctively styled, the model has an aggressive front fascia with a prominent grille and LED-infused headlights. There's also bulging fenders, wraparound taillights and a trunk-mounted spoiler. Overall, the car measures 4,750mm long, 1,795mm wide and 1,435mm tall with a wheelbase that spans 2,850mm.

Entry-level models are sparsely equipped, but higher-end variants such as the Mark X Premium and the sporty 350S G's offer leather upholstery, heated front seats and stainless steel door sill plates. Customers can also order an infotainment system with GPS navigation, a TV tuner and 12 speakers.

Under the hood, two engines are available. The 2.5-liter V6 produces 203 PS (149 kW / 200 hp) and 243 Nm (179 lb-ft) of torque, while the 3.5-liter V6 develops 318 PS (234 kW / 314 hp) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. Both engines are connected to a six-speed automatic transmission which sends power to the rear wheels but all-wheel is optional.

The 2013 Toyota Mark X is currently on sale and pricing starts at 2,440,000 yen.

Eppure Toyota ogni tanto qualcosa di buono la fa! Sta berlinona mi piace un botto ed è imho migliorata un bel po' rispetto alla precedente.

Ha decisamente un suo perchè.

Questa macchina sembra costituire un brand a sè, nel mercato domestico per il quale è riservata. Non ha neppure il marchio della casa, sulla calandra

Un po' particolare come design, ma concordo sul fatto che ha certamente il suo perchè. Trazione posteriore con opzione della trazione integrale...insomma ha tutti gli elementi per eleggersi ad anti-bmw, se vogliamo. Di sicuro non è la classica auto "da supermercato" come s'intende la Toyota da noi e specialmente negli USA. Forse in occidente avrebbe piu' probabilità di essere venduta come Lexus; stiamo parlando cmq di un modello che non è mai arrivato nè in EU nè negli States

Da qualche anno a sta parte molte toyota jdm non mostrano il marchio di casa nel frontale ma soltanto nel posteriore. La nuova Auris ne è un esempio.

Esatto, è come se fossero divise in tanti piccoli gruppi.... fatevi un giro nel sito Jap della Toyota, hanno una gamma sterminata

Ha un frontale un po' insignificante e quei fari e quella X sono di cattivo gusto, ma guardando la precedente versione capisco e applaudo.
