il capo design della kia è occidentale e da quando c'è lui i risultati si vedono?

non solo il capo, la dirigenza coreana per il centro stile europeo non vuole gente asiatica, ma prettamente europea....

recentemente alcune Case (soprattutto asiatiche) hanno preso il vizio di far uscire foto ufficiali e una press release di nuovi modelli SENZA curarsi di inserire i motori nelle prime informazioni. è una cosa che mi da immensamente fastidio...

"er motore?...eh ma che è ?...mò stai a guardà ar capello..." (cit.)

ultimamente ho letto un pezzo di Metcalfe in cui piu' o meno faceva le stesse osservazioni, non riferite solo ai coreani o alle cartelle stampa. Tra l' altro facedo notare come oramai nella denominazione dei modelli le varie sigle non ti dicano quasi piu' di che motore si sta parlando. BMW i8? 8 cilindri? Che ne so, sembra figa ed e' pure ecologica.

Hyundai will debut Genesis sedan in Europe next year

SEOUL (Reuters) -- Hyundai said today that it plans to launch its new Genesis large sedan in Europe next year, challenging German premium brands BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi on their home turf.

The automaker said the Genesis will be its first premium sedan sold in Europe where it is trying to shed its image as a value-for-money brand.

"We have to overcome the challenge of competing with established European brands," Hyundai said in a statement. "We expect the Genesis to play a crucial role in improving our brand recognition."

Hyundai unveiled the rendering of the new Genesis on Thursday in the sedan's first major makeover in nearly six years.

The new Genesis will come with the same engines as the previous model -- a 3.8-liter V-6 and a 5.0-liter V-8. The automaker’s new HTRAC all-wheel-drive system will be offered with at least one of the engines.

The automaker plans to introduce the new Genesis in South Korea next month, followed by rollouts in the United States and other countries next year.

Hyundai currently has no premium vehicle in Europe, where even Japanese premium brands such as Lexus and Infiniti struggle to compete with established European rivals.

Hyundai counts the United States and South Korea as important markets for the rear-wheel-drive Genesis, which sells in smaller numbers than the Sonata and Elantra cars but earns higher margins, analysts say.

In Europe, Hyundai and affiliate Kia nearly doubled their combined market share to 6 percent last year from 2008 by offering stylish, affordable cars matched with generous warranties. Their sales have slipped 0.7 percent so far this year, but are still outperforming the market's 4 percent fall.

Oddio, fiancata e posteriore equilibrati e imho molto belli, però il muso "wannabe" Audi-ford-Mercedes non mi convince, più per la scopiazzatura che per questioni estetiche. Comunque che mondo eh... Hyundai-Kia praticamente tedesche, VAG praticamente italiana...
