[h=2]Will be aimed at male auto enthusiasts who are in their mid- to late 20s.[/h]Nissan will reportedly unveil a Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ competitor at the Tokyo Motor Show so it comes as little surprise that the company is talking smack about the aforementioned models.

In a recent interview, Nissan executive vice president Andy Palmer described the BRZ as a "midlife crisis" car that was designed for a "50-year-old." He went on to ask Motor Trend's Nate Martinez “Are you coming to the Tokyo Motor Show? You’ll see the answer to the midlife crisis. Except it won’t be for the midlife crisis.”

That's a little vague but Palmer said the car would appeal to male auto enthusiasts who are in their mid- to late 20s.

Little is known about the car itself but it will reportedly be a thinly veiled concept that could be destined for production. Speculation suggests it could use a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 197 bhp (147 kW) but nothing is official as of yet.

Auguro a Nissan di tirar fuori una vettura che valga almeno la metà della Toyobaru.

Spero anche che rivolgere l'auto alla fascia di età a cavallo tra 20 e 30 anni non voglia dire tirar fuori una supposta radical chic, con tanto feisbuc, ecoguida e buona per fare gli spari al semaforo. Per quello abbiamo già le mid diesel del centro Europa.

Ma questa Nissan come si pone rispetto alla sostituta della 370Z?

Comunque concordo con Edolo, li voglio vedere alla prova dei fatti. Si rischia tanto fumo e poco arrosto, i ventenni d'oggi non sono proprio la definizione del "petrolhead".
