FCA invited a group of select Jeep dealers to a private meeting this week to learn about the 2018 Wrangler (JL). An anonymous source has provided JLWF with info that FCA confirmed at the meeting.

Timing

• 2017 LA Auto Show Reveal (Nov 28 or 29, according to Jeep CEO Mike Manley)
• Production models arrive at dealerships approximately mid-late December 2017

Trims

• No more 2-door JL Sahara trim

Engines / Transmissions

• Updated 3.6L Pentastar V6 Manual Transmission (standard), 3.6L Automatic (optional)
• 2.0L DOHC Turbo Automatic Transmission (standard), No manual option
• Diesel late 2019MY availability (and pending EPA certification) - See Latest Spy Photos

Tops/Roof

• Power sliding hard top (PSHT) - late 2018MY availability

Colors

• List of general colors to be available, yet to be fully confirmed
• White
• Black
• Granite Crystal
• Billet Silver
• Blue
• Orange
• Red
• Baja Yellow

Miscellaneous

• JLU has a longer wheelbase
• ESS confirmed (previously verified)
• Push button start confirmed (see spy photos)
• 33" tire for Rubicon (see info thread)
• Redesigned transfer case handle (see spy photos)
• Manual lumbar support adjustment
• Lug tool is now in metric
• Most current (JK/JKU) aftermarket parts will fit the new model

I'm interested in Wrangler's GME T4 D engine. Obviously it's DOHC unlike Giulia's GME T4 M. But what's interesting is a BSG so that engine inside of Wrangle is a mild hybrid.

Beh, questo rimane ancora "body on frame" quindi classico pianale con longheroni.

Non ho capito se mantengono anche gli assali rigidi, comunque rimane qualcosa di "duro e puro".
