Series production of BMW iX* gets underway at Plant Dingolfing

Dingolfing. Standard production of the fully-electric BMW iX* began today in Dingolfing. The plant in Lower Bavaria now produces vehicles with all drive train variants, i.e. combustion-engine vehicles, plug-in hybrids and fully-electric models, on a single line. Milan Nedeljković, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, responsible for Production: “The launch of the BMW iX* marks another milestone in our expansion of electrification and demonstrates our production network's successful transformation towards electromobility and digitalisation.”

 

The BMW iX* is being manufactured at the BMW Group’s largest European production plant on an assembly line with the flexibility to build a mix of BMW 5 Series, 7 Series and 8 Series models. To handle this flexibility and variety of drive trains, vehicle assembly in Dingolfing has been expanded and refurbished. The BMW Group has invested a total of more than 400 million euros in producing the BMW iX* at the Dingolfing vehicle plant. Many of the remodelling and structural measures required for the BMW iX* are already benefiting future generations of the BMW 7 Series and 5 Series that will come off the production line in Dingolfing in the coming years. Fully-electric variants have also been announced for both model ranges.

Mamma mia quanto è brutta però....

Vista oggi in autostrada, targa tedesca e si portava appresso la roulotte, devo dire che non mi è dispiaciuta nel suo essere una grossa SUV alla stregua di un'Audi Q7.

..si..qualche decine del top managment sono gia in giro con la iX per un ultimo test tipo "cliente finale, spesso verso Italia come Diess con la id3 e come si sente, tutti hanno meno problemi con la ricarica come lui... 😆

Vado un attimo OT, di ID.3 zona trentino devo dire che ne ho viste parecchie in giro, mentre più giù da me comincia a prendere piede ID.4 (confrontando naturalmente con il resto della gamma EV che il mercato al momento offre), per il resto un paio di Enyaq ma targate straniere e poi tutte Tesla.

Al BMW Welt di Monaco, ho potuto vederla da vicino e salirci a bordo e devo dire che alla fine nel complesso non mi dispiace. Internamente è veramente molto bella e confortevole, a livello di ambiente l'hanno studiata bene luminosa e sembra di stare in un bel salotto; bello il tetto in vetro schermabile che cambia la "trasparenza" senza quindi necessità di una tendina che lo copra.
Esternamente devo dire che dal vivo è nettamente meglio che non in foto, a me piace, sì design controverso però apprezzo il voler mettersi in gioco proponendo qualcosa di nuovo rispetto al classico design BMW.
