L’ex stabilimento Nissan di Barcellona è divenuto di proprietà di EV Motors che ha acquistato anche la licenza per produrre il Navara e l’NV200. 
Grazie ad un accordo con Chery nella fabbrica inizierà l’assemblaggio delle Omoda 5 e Jaecoo 7 in CKD (stile DR) e successivamente dei modelli Ebro sulle vecchie basi Nissan. 
La capacità dovrebbe essere di 150 mola veicoli nel 2029.
