New Kia XCeed set to begin production at Žilina plant

• Production of the new XCeed will begin production at Kia’s Slovakia-based facility

(Žilina/Frankfurt), 04 May 2026

The production of the new Kia XCeed is set to start on 29 May at its manufacturing facility in Žilina, Slovakia. Designed for a “stylish, always-on, active lifestyle”, the crossover combines a modern, refined design aligned with Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ philosophy with the latest technology and convenience features. It will be produced alongside the Kia Sportage, EV4, and EV2, further strengthening Kia’s growing and diverse European product portfolio.

“The start of production for the new XCeed marks an exciting step in Kia’s European operations, building on the continued success of a well-established and popular nameplate in the region,” said Soohang Chang, President and CEO at Kia Europe. “Manufactured at our Slovakia-based facility, the new XCeed will benefit from modernised production lines that also support an expanding range of electrified models. Designed to strengthen our position in Europe’s highly competitive C-segment, it enhances our offering to customers while contributing to Kia’s broad and flexible powertrain mix, from petrol and mild hybrid to fully electric vehicles.”

Building on its most recent product enhancement in 2022, the updated crossover combines an elegant design with a more dynamic, crossover character. It also features the latest connectivity, including a dual 12.3-inch infotainment display, convenience features such as Digital Key 2.0, and improved ride comfort.

Questo non e l'aspettavo, un pesante restyling della Xceed invece che il modello nuovo. Mi piaceva (ero a un passo dal comprare la PHEV anni fa), e mi piace con i nuovi stilemi. Ma ormai mi interessano solo le BEV.

Io lo sapevo che sarebbe uscito il pesante facelift, così come accadrà con Niro.
secondo me peggiorata: una balena sciolta. Poi non ho capito perché non le piazzano il sistema HEV di Niro o meglio ancora di Sportage.

Ha gli stessi problemi di Sportage: le modifiche estetiche parlano un linguaggio poco coerente con quello che è rimasto inalterato!

Peccato, era una bella auto.

Poteva uscire peggio, anche se imho era meglio prima.

I nuovi stilemi stanno meglio sul corpo vettura della Stonic... e ho detto tutto......

Probabilmente perchè l'unico sistema full hybrid di Xceed era col PHEV. Infatti mi chiedo se lo hanno cassato. In effetti con il batterione dietro il bagagliaio era veramente striminzito.
