They installed fresh capacity in Türkye for this – so is it a semi-new generation of the K0? I read at Allpar that the engine is from Hungary, not the US. 2027 Ram ProMaster City Van Announced With Starting Price Under $40K

August 27, 2026 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Ram takes another step in its return to the small commercial van segment with today's announcement of U.S. pricing for the all-new 2027 Ram ProMaster City. The new van starts at a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $39,995, including $2,595 destination. 

Offering Class 2 capability in a midsize footprint, the latest commercial van from Ram Professional delivers the space, versatility and value that businesses need, with the comfort, technology and safety features that drivers want. 

“Ram has been making a lot of noise with our truck lineup, but we're equally focused on the commercial customers who count on us every day to keep their businesses moving,” said Matt VanDyke, Ram CEO. “When we unveiled the all-new ProMaster City earlier this year, we made a commitment to deliver a starting price below $40,000 because we know the cost of acquisition matters, no matter how small or large your business is. Today, we're delivering on that promise.” 

Pricing for the all-new 2027 Ram ProMaster City lineup: 

• Ram ProMaster City Tradesman Cargo: $37,400 (plus $2,595 destination) 

• Ram ProMaster City Tradesman Passenger Wagon: $40,100 (plus $2,595 destination) 

• Ram ProMaster City SLT Cargo: $38,900 (plus $2,595 destination) 

• Ram ProMaster City SLT Passenger Wagon: $41,600 (plus $2,595 destination) 

The 2027 Ram ProMaster City returns to Ram Professional’s lineup alongside the Ram 1500, heavy-duty Ram 2500/3500, Ram 3500/4500/5500 Chassis Cab and the Ram ProMaster van. 

All-new 2027 Ram ProMaster City 
The all-new 2027 Ram ProMaster City is designed to be a versatile solution for businesses, whether supporting delivery services, skilled trades or passenger transportation. Built on a proven Stellantis commercial vehicle platform with billions of miles driven and more than 1.5 million units sold, the 2027 ProMaster City combines proven durability with region-specific engineering and validation for the North American market. 

Powering the 2027 ProMaster City is a turbocharged, 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine producing 166 horsepower and 221 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission powering the front wheels, maximizing both traction and cargo carrying capability. 

With more than 167 cubic feet of cargo capacity, a long 111-inch load floor and 2,000 lbs. of payload, the ProMaster City can accommodate common 4-by-8-foot construction materials, heavy service equipment or trade-specific upfits. Behind the rear bumper, ProMaster City offers a maximum 2,000 pounds of towing capability when equipped with the available Class 3 trailer hitch. 

Despite its impressive 167 cu. ft. of capacity, the midsize ProMaster City stands less than 80 inches tall, making it the only Class 2 commercial van capable of accessing most urban parking garages. Its compact exterior doesn't come at the expense of functionality, however. A squared-off tumblehome, 54-inch cargo height and more than 48 inches between the rear wheel wells help maximize usable cargo space. Customers can further tailor the van to their operational needs with available rear swing doors or a segment-exclusive rear liftgate. 

ProMaster City is available in both Tradesman and SLT trim levels. Standard features include: 

• 5-inch digital rearview mirror 

• 10-inch digital instrument cluster 

• 10-inch touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto 

• Tilt-and-telescoping steering column 

• Steering-wheel audio controls

Upgrading to the SLT trim level adds:

Customers can further option the new ProMaster City with available features, including a variety of window and panel configurations, a partition wall or third-row seating on the Passenger Wagon, which increases passenger capacity from five to eight. ProMaster City is also designed for upfit adaptability, with virtually all primary vehicle systems packaged forward of the cargo area, leaving the box open to creativity. 

In addition to its versatile hauling credentials and well-equipped cabin, ProMaster City now offers more standard driver-assistance and safety technologies on all configurations: 

• Second- and third-row side-curtain airbags (Passenger Wagon only) 

• Forward collision warning (FCW) with automatic emergency braking (AEB) 

• Automatic headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and automatic high beams

Configurations 
The 2027 Ram ProMaster City offers six window and panel combinations. Paired with the two rear access options, customers can select from 11 distinct configurations: 

• Tradesman/SLT Cargo with security panels 

• Tradesman/SLT Cargo with side security panels and rear window(s) 

• Tradesman/SLT Cargo with fixed glass, grated passenger-side door window, security panels and rear window(s) 

• Tradesman/SLT Cargo with fixed glass, grated side windows, rear-quarter security panels and rear window(s) 

• Tradesman/SLT Cargo with fixed glass grated side windows, fixed glass rear-quarter windows and rear window(s) 

• Tradesman/SLT Passenger with fixed glass side windows and fixed glass rear-quarter windows with rear window(s) 

All variants, except full security panels, can be optioned with a rear liftgate. 

Availability 
2027 ProMaster City production will start in 2026, with vehicles arriving at dealers in the first quarter of 2027.
