Everything We Know About Dodge’s Upcoming GLH Performance Hatch

Dodge’s Upcoming GLH Aims To Combine Muscle Car Attitude With Hatchback Practicality

" During Stellantis Investor Day, Dodge confirmed it would add a new compact performance-oriented model to its lineup before the end of the decade. Internally, Dodge is reportedly referring to the vehicle as a “muscle hatch.” Seems like Stellantis is full of muscle these days, muscle cars, muscle trucks, and now muscle hatches.

People who attended the presentation described the GLH as something sitting between a hatchback and a crossover. It reportedly rides lower than a traditional C-segment compact SUV but still offers the taller roofline and practicality many buyers want today.

Several attendees compared the overall shape to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 due to its upright proportions and wide stance, while others said it looked like a modern evolution of the old Dodge Hornet Concept from 2007.

Unlike many compact crossovers currently on the market, the GLH is said to emphasize attitude first. That’s something Dodge buyers have been asking for.

Aggressive Styling With Muscle Car Influence

People who saw the vehicle preview described the new GLH as much more aggressive than the Hornet ever looked.

The front fascia reportedly includes a wide blacked-out lighting element stretching across the nose with slim integrated headlights. Lower down sits a large trapezoidal grille opening along with sharper body lines intended to give the vehicle a planted, muscular appearance.

Several attendees specifically mentioned the vehicle’s boxy proportions and wide stance. That’s significant because Dodge appears to be moving away from the softer European-inspired styling language seen on the Hornet and returning to something more distinctly American.

The overall design reportedly focuses heavily on visual presence, much like the Charger and Challenger have for years.
