BYD's (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) largest vehicle production base has seen full-year production exceed 1 million for the first time, as the new energy vehicle (NEV) maker is set to see annual sales exceed 4 million for the first time this year.

BYD's plant in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, in northwest China, reached its goal of producing 1 million vehicles for the year on December 13, the first time the plant has seen annual sales exceed that mark, the Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone administration committee said in a December 13 WeChat post.

The plant, located in the Xi'an Hi-Tech Zone, is BYD's largest single automotive plant in China and has been in operation for 20 years, the post noted.

BYD has laid out businesses in the region including NEVs, components, consumer electronics, rail transportation, power batteries, and auto finance, according to the article.

With the production of the first phase of BYD's parts and components project here going into operation and the gradual completion of the second phase, its production capacity has been further enhanced, the article said.

Currently, BYD's Xi'an plant has four assembly lines in production at the same time, with output reaching 4,000 to 4,400 units per day, according to the article, which didn't provide further details.

As of today, BYD has nine major auto production bases in China, with the other eight located in Shenzhen, Guangdong; Changsha, Hunan; Changzhou, Jiangsu; Hefei, Anhui; Fuzhou, Jiangxi; Jinan, Shandong; Zhengzhou, Henan; and Xiangyang, Hubei.

In Svizzera hanno chiuso cantieri di Zara per lo stesso motivo, come se il problema fosse della casa madre e non delle imprese in 27esimo subappalto che non controlla nessuno...
