Passi per gli interni, ma il nome Seltos è decisamente pre Chat GPT😄.

Nel complesso molto bella.., gli interni secondo me sembrano più ''convincenti'' di alcune premium..

Ho provato e credo che farebbe meglio dell'attuale reparto marketing...

Per un nuovo modello di auto a marchio Kia, il nome dovrebbe evocare modernità, innovazione e magari anche un po’ di dinamismo, visto che Kia sta sempre più puntando su veicoli tecnologici e ad alte prestazioni. Ecco alcune idee:

1. Kia Nova – "Nova" richiama l'idea di qualcosa di nuovo e brillante, perfetto per un'auto che rappresenta una nuova era di mobilità.

2. Kia Ion – Un nome corto ed energico, che richiama l'idea di potenza e innovazione, ideale per un'auto elettrica o ibrida.

3. Kia Zenith – "Zenith" significa il punto più alto, perfetto per un modello che punta a stabilire nuovi standard in termini di performance e comfort.

4. Kia Vero – Un nome semplice ma deciso, che evoca sincerità e solidità, con un richiamo alla verità, alla realtà di una macchina praticabile e all'avanguardia.

5. Kia Vega – Ispirato alla stella "Vega", simbolo di luminosità e innovazione, adatto per un modello futuristico.

6. Kia Kreo – Un nome inventivo, che potrebbe dare un'idea di creatività e novità.

7. Kia Aero – Perfetto per una vettura dinamica, con un design aerodinamico e moderne soluzioni tecniche.

8. Kia Elysia – Un nome elegante che richiama l'idea di un'auto che offre una guida piacevole e rilassante.

9. Kia Solis – Un nome che richiama il sole, simbolo di energia e vitalità, adatto a un'auto solare o a basso impatto ambientale.

10. Kia Pulse – Perfetto per una vettura sportiva o compatta, evocando l’idea di energia e movimento.

Gli interni di questa richiamano certe cose fine anni '60 primissimi '70, come il tunnel centrale che scompare sotto la plancia, lo sviluppo orizzontale della stessa, tastini fisici, accostamenti cromatici... a me non dispiacciono.

Driving performance and powertrain

Built on Kia’s latest platform architecture, the Seltos was developed through extensive cross-functional collaboration between Korea and the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre (HMETC). To ensure the vehicle meets European roads and customer expectations, key engineering and testing activities took place in Spain and Sweden.

The Seltos follows a comfort-oriented and compliant driving philosophy, which deliberately differs from sportier Kia models. The goal was to achieve balanced and predictable handling, ensuring that the car remains stable and controllable even near the handling limit. The suspension architecture of the model has been specifically recalibrated, with wheel options including 18-inch and 19-inch tyres.

Particular attention was paid to the steering, which was primarily developed at HMETC in Spain. It offers a precise on-centre response for motorway driving and comfortable, smooth feedback on winding roads to enhance driver confidence. While the AWD variants were primarily tuned by HMETC in Europe to maintain a consistent character despite additional weight, the 2WD variants originate from Korean development. Both share the same stable and controllable DNA.

The Seltos arriving in Europe offers all-wheel drive availability on both ICE and HEV powertrains, democratising advanced drivetrain technology within the segment. It is also the first Kia model to be equipped with Hyundai Motor Group’s e-AWD system, which enables precise torque distribution, improved traction, and enhanced stability. Drive Mode Select (Eco, Normal, Sport) allows drivers to adapt performance characteristics to different environments, maintaining comfort and control in everyday driving. In addition, Stay Mode enhances cabin comfort for occupants during stationary use.

The ICE version comes with a 1.6-litre T-GDI turbocharged petrol engine, which delivers both 180 PS and 265 Nm, available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. A hybrid variant further expands the line-up, enhancing everyday usability and efficiency. The 2WD version offers 154 PS, while the e-AWD version achieves 178 PS.

Finally, the Seltos marks the first time that Hyundai Motor Group has applied Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), a technology typically found in EVs, to a hybrid model. The functionality allows external devices to be powered and charged directly from the vehicle.

Technology, safety, and convenience in harmony

The Seltos places safety at the core of its development, featuring advanced structural engineering and a full suite of Level 2 ADAS technologies designed to support driver confidence in diverse traffic situations. A major highlight is the new generation of Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA). The system now features a predictive speed limit preview up to 500 metres ahead using map and camera data, allowing it to proactively reduce vehicle speed before entering a new speed limit zone. Drivers can choose between automatic and manual assist modes for greater flexibility.
